Supported by key authorities, the “2nd China Vehicle Insurance Outlook 2016” will be held on May 11th and 12th 2016 in Beijing, China. This event is jointly organized by China Center for Insurance and Risk Management Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management and Shine Media International Limited. The forum would focus on policy implementation, market trend, insurance product innovation and new distribution channel discovery; telematics technology development and application; building of high-efficiency after sales service platform through multi-cooperation ,etc. This event will help to upgrade management level and profitability of vehicle insurance enterprise comprehensive, achieve multi-win-win situation, and promote the orderly and healthy development of China's insurance industry.
China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC) issued "On deepening the reform of the commercial terms of vehicle insurance premium management system guidelines (draft)" in February 2015 and launched the first 6 regions as commercial vehicle insurance reform experimental unit. In 2016 vehicle insurance reform will be implemented in 12 more pilot regions. People believe that with the policy implement and pilot region expansion, it indicated commercial vehicle insurance has got a great step. According to the premium reform plan, insurers could make different commercial vehicle insurance premium to different risk level vehicles and drivers, which mainly depends on insurer’s risk identification capacity, risk cost situation and risk pricing power. In commercial vehicle insurance reform, vehicle model pricing, discount coefficient and independent pricing will reflect risk gap from different insurance business.
The vehicle insurance market is greatly inspired by a series of reform practices in the past year, such as reform pilot regions establishment, internet insurance company license granting, and new insurance products approval, etc. Meanwhile, vehicle insurance market will also experience many challenges ahead. How to make use of policy to reverse the depressed market? How to speed up product and service innovation combining with internet technology? How to realize channel breakthrough and enhance customer stickiness under the new situation? Deep influence of the reform is worth to keep attention.
